BOSTON =- The Baker-Polito administration announced today, May 7, that as of May 10, large capacity venues such as indoor and outdoor stadiums, arenas and ballparks currently open at 12% capacity could increase capacity to 25%.

That is potentially good news for outdoor graduation ceremonies, although they are still subject to local Board of health approval.

For example, Bowditch Field can hold 5,000 outside – at 25% capacity that would be 1,250 individuals.

Also as of May 10, youth and adult amateur sports tournaments will be allowed for moderate and high-risk sports.

And as of May 10, singing will also be permitted indoors with strict distancing requirements at performance venues, restaurants, event venues and other businesses.
