ASHLAND – Jason Romero, 21, of Ashland died tragically Tuesday April 27, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday in Westborough.

Born in El Salvador, he is the son of Claudia Romero. Jason completed 10th Grade at Keefe Technical High School and was working on getting his High School Diploma.

He worked as a sous chef at Owen O’Leary’s Brew Pub in Westborough and Southborough.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Ramon Gonzalez, and his sister, Emily Gonzalez, four aunts, and one uncle, Carolina, Sandra, Sofía and Nilda Romero, Hector Romero. Grandmother Ana Margarita Recinos and many cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday May 3 at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord Street in Framingham with burial to follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland.

Funeral home visitors entering the funeral home will be limited to 10 at one time. Visitors may be asked to wait outside until room is available. Unfortunately no exceptions can made to this rule for inclement weather.

Condolences with the family should be kept brief so that others may enter after you.
