FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced today, April 30, 27 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday.

Since the pandemic, there have been 243 deaths.

Framingham has had a total of 8,140 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 74,500 residents.

That means about 11% of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The good news is 6,367 individuals have recovered.

As of April 19, the general public, age 16 and older became eligible for the vaccine.

Active cases in the City of Framingham increased from 1,523 to 1,530.

Individuals in quarantine is at 521.
