1 Former City Councilor and former long-time Selectman Charlie Sisitsky announced his candidacy for Mayor of Framingham yesterday.

Voters will elect a Mayor in November 2021 for a 4-year term.

2. The City of Framingham and its Mayor Yvonne Spicer, along with Planning, Economic Development, and Community Development Director Kevin Shea will hold a series of listening sessions entitled Reimagining Framingham Business – Post Pandemic. The first session will be held virtually on Zoom today at 10 a.m. The purpose of the listening session is to “elicit ideas and hear concerns of our Framingham businesses as we hopefully begin to exit the COVID pandemic,” said Shea.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events today, but she is expected to attend the listening session at 10 a.m. Mayor Spicer is also expected to submit the City’s latest budget tomorrow, April 30 to the City Council.

5. Today is International Dance Day.
