NATICK – Yvette Prepetit (Nau) 93, of Natick, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday evening April 26, 2021, surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Yvette was born in Petion-Ville, Haiti on June 26, 1927.

She immigrated to the US in 1972, with her children, to join her late husband, Vital Prepetit, who immigrated to the US in 1970. They were married for 47 years until he passed away in 1998.

She was a devoted Catholic and a loving and caring Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family. 

She is survived by her older sister, Utelle Exume of Brooklyn, NY. Her 5 Children and 8 Grandchildren: Myrtha Joseph (step daughter) of Palm Harbor, FL, mother of Jean-Claude Jr, (wife Kim), Myriam (husband Kerry) and Melissa (husband Todd) Michel Prepetit of Hopkinton MA, father of Ryan Yanick Garnier of Natick, mother of Alix and Francine Serge Prepetit and his wife Guilene of Norhtborough, MA, father of Gabriel and Gilbert Rene-Max Prepetit of Natick, MA. 6 Great Grand Children: Annouk, Emile, Essien, Lyric, Mirabella, Annalise.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Yvette’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham, on Thursday evening, April 29 from 4 to 7;30 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass and life will be celebrated on Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m. in Saint Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly Street in Framingham. Interment will follow immediately at Glenwood Cemetery located at 25 Glenwood Street in Natick.
