FRAMINGHAM – In recognition of Earth Day, the League of Women Voters of Framingham and Energize Framingham invite you to join us on Saturday, April 24 at 4 p.m. via Zoom to learn more about the nation-leading climate bill that Massachusetts recently passed.

State Rep. Maria Duaime Robinson will lead our discussion about this bill and the importance of legislation addressing climate change issues. Rep. Robinson will also speak about her ongoing work to continue to improve equity in our energy and post-Covid programs with the Building Jobs with Justice bill.

Aimee Powelka and Melissa Cusson from Energize Framingham, an online resource to empower you about your own ability to reduce your climate impact and build a healthier home and community.

Energize Framingham focuses broadly on sustainability actions, everything from the “Keep Framingham Beautiful” clean-ups, to our local farms, to electric vehicles, and solar. Everyone from renters to retirees will find some way to participate in climate action.

There will be a question and answer session following our speakers.

The event is open to everyone. The goal of this event is to give actionable suggestions on ways to address climate issues in our own lives.

The League of Women Voters Framingham will be broadcasting live on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/LWVFram
