FRAMINGHAM – MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham announced a cardiology milestone.

The cardiac team reached its 50th cryoablation procedure.

Cryoablation is a process that uses extreme cold to disable abnormal heart tissue with a goal of reducing impact on healthy heart tissue and surrounding structures. Atrial fibrillation is the common heart disorder that is treated with cryoablation.
