FRAMINGHAM – Framingham City Council unanimously approved District 7 resident Sara Porter for re-appointment to the Framingham License Commission. Porter is an original member of the Commission, which was created in 2018.
Porter holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and has lived in Framingham for almost 15 years.
Porter is married to Framingham Police Officer Ryan Porter, who is the current union president.
Porter’s term on the Commission has already expired, but with the vote her term has been extended to June 30, 2024.
The current chair of the Framingham License Commission is District 4 resident Adam Barnosky, whose term will end in June 2023.
The current vice chair is Tiel Wadland, of District 3, whose term will end in June 2022.
The other members of the Commission are District 7 resident Stuart Pologe and District 7 resident Laura Medrano.
The Framingham board of licensing commissioners may grant licenses relating to alcoholic beverages under General Laws chapter 138 and those licenses under General Laws chapter 140 which are not, by the provisions of said chapter, placed within the jurisdiction of another municipal officer or agency.
