FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School district’s dash board, which had not shown a COVID case since March 24, updated this morning, March 29 with three new cases.
The District is reporting cases at Framingham High School and Cameron Middle School on March 26. The cases were not listed on the dashboard yesterday, March 28.
The district is also reporting a positive coronavirus case at BLOCKS preschool on March 28.
Last week, the state said the Framingham Public School district had the third highest COVID cases among staff & students in the Commonwealth.

Not listed in the dashboard was a case at Stapleton Elementary School, which was reported to families last night.
A Stapleton elementary school classroom will go remote on Monday, March 20, after a “school community” member tested positive for COVID-19, announced the school tonight. March 28. “As per district guidelines, comprehensive contact tracing will be completed on Monday” and the classroom impacted will be remote on Monday, said the district to families tonight. “Close contacts will received a call from the school,” said the district. “A close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of the person for at least 15 cumulative minutes within 24 hours.”
As of this morning, the district’s COVID dashboard is reporting 94 total cases during the 2020-21 school year.
Framingham High leads the school district with 26 total cases in the academic 2020-21 school year.
Fuller Middle has 9 cases, Walsh Middle School 8 cases, and BLOCKS and King Elementary are tied for fourth with 6 cases.

Since January 1, there have been more than 55 cases in the district.
In March, there have been 46 cases, not counting the Stapleton Elementary one announced to families last night.
The district has been testing staff weekly, and students, via pooled testing.
SOURCE requested pooled testing participation rates for the district and by school.
Earlier this month, the administration provided the total district participation rate by students. It is 46%. Pooled testing is not for remote students. On March 19, the district reported that number has increased to 48%.
