FRAMINGHAM – Santiago “Taco” Rodriguez, Jr. passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Santiago was determined to beat an unbeatable cancer and had everyone convinced he would do just that. His amazing oncology team, positive mindset and support from his family helped him keep his focus and fight like a warrior to the very end. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Santiago was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on September 22, 1963, son of Virginia (Rivera) Martinez and the late Santiago Rodriguez.  He is survived by his mother, Virginia; and his wife, Christine Rodriguez. Santiago also leaves his loving daughter, Alisa Ayres; three siblings, Jesus Rivera, Emma Baez and Santiago Rodriguez; several nieces and nephews.

Taco lived life to the fullest. His smile and laugh were infectious, and he had a way of bonding with anyone he met. He is known for his avid love of vehicles, his passion for driving his 10-wheeler and the adoration he felt towards anything involving his family and close friends. He will be greatly missed by any and all that knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate and honor his incredible life on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10am at St. Stephen’s Church in Framingham, MA.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you consider making a donation to the MetroWest Medical Center Cancer Care in honor of Santiago Rodriguez.
