ASHLAND – Reinhold “Reinie” Lehberger, 64, of Milford, formerly of Ashland and Springfield, passed away from COVID-related complications on February 12, 2021.

Born July 17, 1956, son of the late Helmuth and Maria Lehberger.

A graduate of Holy Cross where he met his beloved wife.

Reinie spread love and laughter with his magnetic personality, infectious smile, and ability to make friends anywhere at any time. His love shone bright through his constant dedication to his family and never-ending family vacation planning. He was a true pillar of the Lehberger family. 

He volunteered his time in the Ashland elementary technology classrooms, with Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts, and various committees at St. Cecilia’s Church. Reinie worked for 25 years in the RV industry, where he was well known and loved by anyone who met him.

Reinie is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lois (Palmer) Lehberger, his three children, Kimberly Mazzola (husband Anthony); Katrina Lehberger (husband John Keeler); and Kevin Lehberger (wife Kara), four grandchildren, Joseph Mazzola; Kayden Lehberger; Madison Mazzola; and Daisy Lehberger. He also leaves his sister Ingrid Richard (husband Michael), many nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 24 at 9a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church in Ashland.

Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
