BOSTON – The National Weather Service said this newest storm will be long, starting today, and ending maybe early Saturday morning, but it should only deliver about a half foot of snow.

The total accumulation forecasted by the federal agency is 3 to 7 inches of snow.

Snow is expected to start around noon today, February 18 and to end late Friday night, although some models said early Saturday a.m.

Travel could be difficult at times as roads become snow covered. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening commute.
