FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Fire Department has been called to a District 3 neighborhood for a report of gas tonight, February 14..
Just before 8 p.m., Firefighters were called to Bellwood Avenue for a report of gas in the neighborhood.
“On 2/14, around 7:30pm, Engine 1 & Tower 1 responded to a call for van outside smell of gas on Bellwood Way,” said Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.
“Companies metered the area, and located a strong smell from a storm drain. The sewer gas odor is most likely from ‘decaying or decomposing’ materials and moisture. Eversource called to the scene to verify no gas leak,” said Dutcher to SOURCE on February 16.
