FRAMINGHAM – Snow started falling Tuesday afternoon, but the most of what is on the ground this morning in MetroWest, happened early Wednesday morning, January 27.

The National Weather Service in Boston/Norton reported a half foot of snow in Holden in Worcester County.

In Middlesex County, the Town of Acton received the most at 4.6 inches, according to a trained spotter at 7:09 a.m.

The National Weather Service uses trained spotters, media, ham radio operators, and the public to measure snow fall totals.

But how much did MetroWest get?

At 7 a.m., Framingham was reporting 4.5 inches of snow.

At 5 a.m., East Marlborough was reporting 4.2 inches of snow.

A trained spotter in Natick at 5;40 a.m. reported 4 inches of snow.
