FRAMINGHAM – The Learning Center for the Deaf announced this week it is accepting nominations for the second annual Warren Schwab Memorial Award.

The Warren Schwab Memorial Award was inaugurated in 2019 to honor the tireless work of TLC founder and friend, and his deep commitment to revolutionizing Deaf Education.  

In 2019, The Learning Center for the Deaf presented the inaugural Memorial Award to Jodi Cort, in loving memory of Warren Schwab.

The award is now presented annually at TLC’s gala in honor of an individual or organization that has worked tirelessly to revolutionize Deaf Education.

TLC’s 50th Anniversary virtual event on April 10, 2021 showcase the organization’s work to annually benefit 2,000 deaf and hard of hearing individuals and over 150 organizations in Massachusetts and beyond.

TLC is partnering with Bus Door Films, a Deaf-owned creative production and filmmaking business. In addition, one of the emcee’s will be internationally-known news personality and star Melissa Elmira Yingst. Interpreting and open captioning will be provided.
