UPDATED: Marian High Property Acquired For $2.6 Million

FRAMINBGHAM – Invictus Forever, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to promote greater community integration of children and adults with disabilities, today, December 15, announced that it has acquired the former Marian High School property.

The property sold for $2.6 million.

“Preserving and adapting the existing high school building, Invictus will offer a state-of-the-art Life Skills Development Center focused on innovative educational, vocational, life skills, and community access programs, in addition to a robust initiative around workforce development,” said Carolyn Langer, MD, President of Invictus Forever, Inc.

.Marian High School announced in spring 2018 it would close. The final graduating class was in 2018. The school opened on Union Avenue in Framingham in 1956.

“Meaningful activities and social enterprises will cater to individuals with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities (including autism, intellectual & developmental disabilities, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc.) and to the interests of the broader community. By promoting a tolerant and respectful atmosphere that recognizes and nurtures each individual’s unique talents, Invictus promotes a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where individuals of all strengths and abilities can excel,” said Langer.

“Invictus also seeks to forge close ties to Framingham Public Schools, the YMCA, disabled veterans’ groups, and other community stakeholders. In short, Invictus is forging new paths in promoting meaningful lives, full inclusiveness, and community engagement for individuals with disabilities,” said Langer.
