FRAMINGHAM – Nancy M. (Ericksen) Taverna, 74, a longtime resident of Framingham died Monday, November 16, 2020 after a period of declining health.
Born in Boston the daughter of the late Ryder & Margaret (Schultz) Ericksen, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Taverna who died suddenly in 2003.
Nancy was raised in West Roxbury and was a graduate of Roslindale High School and attended the Boston Business School.
She later moved with her husband Robert to Framingham where she worked for the next 10 years as a typist and data processor for the Framingham District Court. After having their son Michael, she became a full-time mom and homemaker.
Known as a bit of a homebody, Nancy relished in the small things in life. Trips to the beach at Yarmouth on the Cape, reading a good book, or knitting a blanket brought true happiness.
Nancy is survived by her beloved son Michael J. Taverna of Framingham, and cherished grandson, Jameson P. Gauvin, her sister, Linda Mogan of Norwood, her brother, the late John R. Ericksen of Encino, CA, her longtime boyfriend and companion Kevin E. Winslow of Framingham, her nieces Janet L Mogan and Amy Blank, her nephew Bryan Fegan, her sister-in-law, Lorraine Fegan & her husband Robert of Evans, GA, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Nancy’s life by gathering for graveside services on Tuesday morning, November 24, in Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove Street in Framingham, at 11 a.m.
Considering the current health restrictions, a memorial mass will be announced at a later date.
