HOLLISTON – The Boston Honey Company opened its second retail location at 45 Chestnut Street in Holliston on Saturday, November 7.
“After 20 years as a commercial honey producer, and 5 years’ operating a location at the Boston Public Market, we are excited to open a unique Farmstand destination at our Holliston Bee Farm” said Andy Reseska, founder and beekeeper of Boston Honey Company. At the new Farmstand shoppers will be able to purchase their favorite products from Boston Honey Company and an assortment of products from local small businesses across Massachusetts.
When asked about the building itself, Reseka emphasized that environmental sustainability was at the forefront of his mind when thinking of the design.

“Our honey extracting / bottling facility and farmstand, utilize sustainable energy systems, being the first commercial building in the Town of Holliston heated and cooled by geothermal energy. The ground work has been laid in the structure’s insulating envelope to achieve a net zero-energy use building, after installation of a roof mounted solar array within the next two years,” he said.
The opening of the farmstand, which is next to the Upper Charles Rail Trail, is just the beginning of what is in store for the community at the new Boston Honey Company location. After the pandemic, once the farm is fully operational, “visitors will have the opportunity to view and tour our honey extracting operation, learn about honeybees and experience what it takes to make Massachusetts Honey,” he said.
