ASHLAND – Friday, the 13th is lucky for the Ashland Fire Department as it welcomed a new fire engine today.

The Ashland Fire Department posted it “took delivery of our New Engine 2.”

The 2020 E-One Typhoon Pumper was built by E-ONE Fire Trucks.

The new engine replaces a 2000 Freightliner Pumper that has served the community of Ashland for the last 20 years, said the fire department.

After mounting equipment, hoses, radios and training this vehicle will go in service and run out of Station 2, said the department on social media.
