FRAMINGHAM – Michael G. Kopeloff, 66 years old, a long-time resident of Framingham, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 6, 2020.
He was the son of the late Bernard and Deborah (Mitnick) Kopeloff.
Kopeloff was born in Ithaca, New York, on March 31, 1954, and spent the majority of his life in Framingham, except for a four-year education at The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and career-related work in Portsmouth, NH.
Michael was truly a great guy who will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was an avid animal lover who provided a loving home to 8 cats over the years. He was also a loving son who took great care of his elderly mother in her final years. Also, not to be forgotten, he was a true “Dead Head” until the end.
Michael was a man who cherished and nurtured his friendships, maintaining them for decades. No one ever felt unloved or was unfed when they entered Michael’s house. He was a talented home cook who always served up tasty meals. Finally Michael loved gardening and technology. He was always looking for the next solution to a problem.
Michael is survived by his sisters Judi Kopeloff of Stoneham, and Susan Loomis of Reading, and his nephew, Nathan Loomis of Somerville.
Family and friends will honor and remember Michael privately.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Michael’s name to MetroWest Humane Society, Ashland, or to the charity of your choosing.
Arrangements by the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home of Framingham.
