FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man was arrested by police on a charge of indecent sex assault & battery on an individual over age 14 on Monday October 5.

Jorge Cerin, 44, of 135 Irving Street was arrested at his residence at 4:58 p.m. by Framingham Police.

He was arraigned and bail was was set at $500, said the Middlesex District Attorney’s office today, October 9.

The defendant was ordered to stay away from and have not contact with the victim and to abide by the restraining order, said the Middlesex District Attorney’s office spokesperson.

He is scheduled to be back in court on December 15.

No booking photo was available, as Framingham Police, under state law, do not comment on sexual assault cases, per a law signed by former Governor Deval Patrick. That same law does not allow for sexual assaults to appear in the public police log.
