FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham History Center is hosting an online auction of paintings featuring the Centre Common.

Local artists set up their easels outdoors on October 3 to celebrate one of the artifacts featured in our Framingham’s Top 10 exhibit – View of the Centre Common of Framingham, a watercolor painted by Captain Daniel Bell in 1808.

The landscape has changed since then and these artists have reinterpreted the current day Common from their perspective in the en plein air style just as Bell did 212 years ago.

These 8 artists have created incredible artwork reflecting the beauty of the Centre Common and surrounding area, said the History Center.

This limited-time auction will run from October 7 at 10 a.m. to October 14 at 8 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the Framingham History Center.
