MARLBOROUGH – Ilson “Ilsinho”,  “oreia Seca” , “Tchuco” Rodrigues, 58, died Wednesday September 9, 2020 at UMASS Medical Center.

He was born in Ataleia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the son of the late José Rodrigues do Nascimento and Gloria Rita de Jesus and was educated in São José Do Divino, Minas Gerais.

He worked for several area restaurants for the past 30 years. Ilsinho adored his granddaughters and the time he was able to spend with them, especially waking up early every morning to prepare breakfast, “leitinho”, for the girls.

He was an avid soccer fan, always cheering for his favorite team Cruzeiro. He loved playing his scratch tickets and spending time with his friends, telling stories old and new. Watching novelas and western movies were his favorite pass-time. Ilson was a kind and patient man, always willing to help others and continuously spoke highly of everyone, especially those he loved dearly. His favorite memories was of his son, Witson, who still as a child, used to follow him around everywhere he went, dressed as a little cowboy, just like his daddy. He recounted several times his son taking naps on his chest while growing up.

He leaves his son, Witson Rodrigues and his wife Suellen of Whitinsville; three brothers, Adilson, Lucas and Alemão; five sisters, Leni, Eliete, Elieny, Benta and Regina; three granddaughters, Taysa, Elysa and Alyna all of Whitinsville.

Calling hours will be held Sunday September 13 from 6-8 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home(www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.

Burial will be private.
