BOSTON — Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey today announced three state board and commission positions, one on the State Ethics Commission and two on the Cannabis Control Commission, for which her office is currently seeking applicants.

The Attorney General is occasionally called upon to make appointments to various state boards and commissions created by the state legislature. These appointments vary in length of term and degree of commitment required.

The AG’s website includes a new page with information about serving on a state board or commission. This page highlights vacant positions and encourages members of the public to submit a statement of interest if they would like to be considered for a future appointment. The AG’s Office is currently seeking applications for the following:

State Ethics Commission

The AG’s Office is seeking applicants for a seat on the State Ethics Commission, which is a five-member commission created by the legislature to administer and enforce the conflict of interest law and financial disclosure law. The State Ethics Commission is an independent state agency that serves the public by fostering integrity in government, providing free advice to all public employees on the conflict of interest law, and civilly enforcing the law. Those interested in being considered for this position should send a letter of interest and résumé to GCOMailbox@mass.gov by September 11, 2020.
