“The evening of Tuesday August 18th when a blue pickup truck jumped the curb and ran them over, driving them into a wooden fence. A piece of the wood from  from the fence impaled Kimberly through the chest. In her haste to flee the scene, the driver of the truck backed over Kimberly, crushing both of her legs, and took off at a high rate of speed. They were both med-flighted to nearby trauma centers. At this time it is still unclear as to whether her medical team will be able to save both of her legs,” wrote Catlin.

“The last year has been a very special one for Kimberly and Andy. A couple very much in love, they decided to get married, doing so on the Bridge of Flowers in Natick Center. They had also saved enough money together from both their jobs that they were able to purchase a modest home, also in Natick,” wrote Catlin.

“What Kimberly and Andy need now is time to heal without the stress of financial burdens such as unreimbursed medical expenses. And Kimberly’s convalescence is going to be extensive, and may include the cost of a prosthetic leg,” wrote Catlin. “We appreciate the generous outpouring of support everyone has shown so far, and hope to make Kimberly’s and Andy’s journey back to health and wholeness a smoother one.”
