HOPEDALE – Robert L. Carracini, 76 of Hopedale, died on August 17, 2020 at Milford Regional Hospital, Milford, after a long illness. 

He was born on December 26, 1943 in Framingham.  His parents were Mary (Urbinati) and William Carracini of Framingham. He was educated in Framingham schools and graduated from Framingham South High School (where he was a 3-star athlete), the class of 1961. 

He served in the Army stationed in Korea for two years and graduated from Worcester State College in 1979 earning a degree in Urban Studies and Health and Human Services. 

He was proud to be a firefighter/EMT on the Framingham Fire Department for 30 years.  He also owned his own business, Carra Sportswear.

He is survived by his sister, Janet Borelli of Ashland, a niece, Darlene Skiotis of Salisbury, two nephews, John Borelli of Brookline, NH and Russ Borelli of Ashland, many cousins and many, many friends.

He was an avid golfer, winning may tournaments and continued to be extremely active.  His incredible wit and timing was worthy of any stand up comedian, keeping everyone laughing and entertained for hours.

Due to COVID-19, services will be private.
