FRAMINGHAM – Mayor Yvonne Spicer has re-apppointed Vanessa Pendexter to the Framingham Cultural Council.

The Framingham Cultural Council’s goal is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences in order to improve the quality of life for all residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of our community. The Cultural Council may have up to 22 members, and with this appointment it has 14 members.

“Pendexter of District 1 has served on the Cultural Council for two years and is nominated for reappointment, effective through June 30, 2023,” wrote the Mayor in a memo to the 11-member City Council today, August 6.

The Mayor submitted Charles Kiefer’s nomination for appointment on July 23 and submitted Mauricio Perea’s nomination for appointment on July 30 to the City Council.

The Council has 30 day to act on the nominations or they become automatic.
