FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham woman, 29, crashed into a telephone pole on Nipmuc Road on Sunday night, and was later arrested by Framingham Police.

Just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, a vehicle struck a telephone pole at 40 Nipmuc Road.

The vehicle fled the scene, said Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas.

“Witness described the car and plate. While officers at the scene, dispatch advised that a caller from Gilbert/Winthrop Street area is report a car with front end damage and a female passed out behind the wheel, with the radio playing,” said Lt. Grigas.

Arrested was Chayone Cirino, 29, of 7 Wilson Drive of Framingham.

She was charged with operating a motor vehicle after license suspended, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.

She “admitted to striking the pole,” said Lt. Grigas. And then she “became noncompliant.  Upon arrest refused to answer any questions.”

She was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, August 3.
