FRAMINGHAM – Today, July 31, the City of Framingham announced 8 residents have tested positive for COVID-19, since Wednesday. The City said it has 101 active cases of the coronavirus.

There have been a total of 1,809 coronavirus cases in the City of Framingham in 2020.

The good news is 1,587 individuals have recovered.

The City is reporting another COVID-19 deaths.

City now reporting 121 individuals have died from the COVID-19 or complications from the virus, since the pandemic began.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 34 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

So more than 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.

The City announced last month instead of daily updates on the coronavirus, it will now only provide updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
