MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough reported 22 new coronavirus positive cases on Saturday, May 23.

That is 157 new cases in the last week.

The 22 news cases represent a 2.6% increase in COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Marlborough now has a total of 868 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The good news is no new deaths were reported today.

The City of Marlborough has had a total of 37 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

More good news is that 573 individuals have recovered from the virus.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested in the city of almost 40,000 people.

About 2% of the City’s residents have tested positive for the virus.

Middlesex County has the most positive cases, at more than 20,000.

Framingham has the most cases in MetroWest. 

Marlborough is second.

The City of Framingham is also among the top 20 communities with coronavirus cases in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
