BOSTON – No Girl Scout camp this summer announced Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts today, May 15.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the difficult decision to cancel all in-person Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts camp programs for the 2020 summer season. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Over the past couple of months, our team of dedicated staff has worked tirelessly to examine every possible angle of opportunity to make summer camp a reality,” said the organization.
“However, after weighing the risks and considering guidance from industry experts, the CDC, and local health departments, we have concluded that there is too much uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 for us to confidently operate a safe and high-quality camp experience this summer,” announced the organization.
