FRAMINGHAM – For the first time in a week, the City did not report a COVID-19 related death today.

Yesterday the Framingham announced six more COVID-19 fatalities. That made 24 deaths in the last 6 days. In total, there have been 66 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus.

Today, the City of Framingham reported 27 new cases of the Coronavirus.

That brings the total number of positive cases since the pandemic began in the City on March 11 to 1,350 cases.

The good news is 490 individual have recovered.

The city now has 794 active cases as of May 13.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 273 residents in quarantine.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested for the virus in Framingham.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

The 1,350 coronavirus cases is about 2% of the city’s population.
