MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough reported 11 new coronavirus cases due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

That is a 1.7% increase in COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Marlborough has had 61 news cases in the last 72 hours for a total of 642 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The City is reporting 20 total deaths due to the virus or complications from the virus in Marlborough, as of May 9.

The good news is that 352 individuals have recovered from the virus, that represents roughly 55% of all the positive cases.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested in the city of almost 40,000 people.

The United States surpassed 1.3 million coronavirus cases today, May 9.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts reported 1,410 new cases in the last 24 hours. That brings the total number of positive cases in Massachusetts to 76,743.

Massachusetts ranks third in the United States behind New York, and New Jersey for the most positive cases.

The state tested 10,514 individuals in the last 24 hours

As of May 9 at 4 p.m., the state has tested 376,537 individuals.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts reported 138 deaths COVID-19 today, May 9. That brings the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus since the pandemic in Massachusetts to 4,840

There is no cure and no vaccine for COVID-19, at this time.
