HOLLISTON – Earl E. King, 77, of Holliston, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

Born in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Leia (DeFayette) and Edward King. He was the husband of 48 years to Lorraine (Caron) King of Holliston.

After graduating from Purdue University, Earl embarked on a career in Science education that ultimately spanned forty-two years.

The last 33 of those years were spent sharing his love of Biology with the students of Dover Sherborn High School.

After his retirement in 2004, Earl continued his interest in biology by working locally in horticulture while pursuing his other interests of history, genealogy and theology.

Earl was an avid reader and loved to talk about and share books with friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Besides his wife, Earl is survived by his siblings, Helen Brault of Plattsburgh, NY, Clara McDaniel and Steve of New Port Richey, FL, and Clarence King and his wife, Joan of Rehoboth, MA.  He also leaves several nieces and nephews and his beloved Labradoodle, Rosie.

Private arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
