FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Police Association and Bourbon’s Kitchen & Cocktails delivered 50 meals to the Emergency Room & ICU employees at MetroWest Medical Center today, April 22.

“We wanted to help those who are fighting the virus at the hospital,” said Framingham Police Association President Jamie Lewis. “We were told there were 3 units that are dealing with this and so the association delivered meals to those workers.”

The Framingham Police Association already had a relationship with Bourbon’s. The Beacon Street establishments caters the annual charity hockey game between the police officers and the firefighters, explained Lewis, who plays on the police hockey team.

Unfortunately, the annual game between the two first responders was cancelled in March, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Lunch from Bourbon’s consisted of sweet corn nachos, sweet potato fries with maple bourbon aioli and candied bacon, mini BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, roasted garlic mac & cheese, chicken wings, and meatballs.

Bourbon’s Kitchen & Cocktails is open for take out during this coronavirus crisis.
