FRAMINGHAM – Sister Patricia Cushing, CSJ, (Sister Robert Natalie), in her 60th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Devoted daughter of the late Robert F. and Natalie M. (Gerrior) Cushing, and beloved sister of the late Frances T. Ventura, Robert F. Cushing, Natalie M. Bell. Sister Patricia is survived by her loving sister, Mary Ellen DeCoste, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation.
Formerly missioned as a teacher at Jackson School, Newton; St. Catherine School, Somerville; and St. Agatha School, Milton.
Sister Patricia also served as Music Coordinator at various schools and parishes in Newton/Brookline/Boston; Director of Liturgy at St. Augustine Parish, Lawrence; and Director of the Office of Liturgy, Norwich Archdiocese in Connecticut.
While in Kansas City, Missouri, Sister Patricia served as the Kansas City Archdiocese Music Director; Liturgical Director of Rockhurst College; Musical Director at St. Thomas More Parish; and Pastoral Associate at St. Francis Xavier Parish.
Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m.
Burial: All will gather at St. Mary Cemetery, 245 North Street, Randolph at 1:00 pm.
