FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High student Abby Desmarais shattered the high school’s indoor track & field record at the 55-meter dash at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston yesterday, December 22.

Desmarais won the race in 7.24 seconds.

That time broke the previous record held by UMass Amherst and Framingham High graduate runner Garce Poku at 7;36 seconds.

“That time decrease, at that short of an event, is nothing to sneeze at,” said Flyers girls indoor track & field coach Ed Crowley.

The Flyers lost their meet to Wellesley High yesterday. SOURCE will have meet coverage later.
