FRAMINGHAM – An Army reservist was sworn in Monday as a new Framingham Police Officer.
Officer Brian Doyle was one of four new officers who took the oath of office from City Clerk Lisa Ferguson at a small ceremony in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building Monday morning, October 3.
Officer Doyle has a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Virginia Tech and will be finishing his Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University this January, said Lt. Jorge Ruzi, during the ceremony.
Officer Doyle is in the United States Army reserves and has been serving as the Second platoon leader of the 401st Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Company out of Fort Devens, for the last 5 years. He currently holds the rank of First Lieutenant.
Officer Doyle coached high school cross-country in Hopkinton.

“During the three Boston Marathons I have run, going through the streets of Framingham was always a highlight. I am excited to be a part of this City especially during big community events like these,” said Officer Doyle.
Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker said now he will be working the Boston Marathon security and not running them anymore.
Officer Doyle was pinned by his mom Diane Cook.
Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky and City Council Chair Phil Ottaviani Jr, attended the ceremony.
