FRAMINGHAM – Margareth Shepard has earned the endorsement of Clean Water Action, the third statewide environmental organization to endorse her candidacy for state representative.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Clean Water Action,” said Margareth Shepard. “The priorities of Clean Water Action are the same priorities of Framingham’s families: clean drinking water, communities free of pollution, and the prioritization of environmental justice communities like ours. As your state representative, I will work to secure vital funding to clean up local polluted sites and support public transportation, while co-sponsoring legislation that invests in green energy jobs and accelerates our transition to renewable energy. I will join the Clean Energy Caucus, the Zero Waste Caucus, and Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Caucus to further this work with colleagues and advocates.”

Clean Water operates from the fact that everything in our lives is interconnected.  And that “clean water, good health, a stable climate, a healthy environment, economic well-being, a robust democracy, and justice for all—especially the most vulnerable among us,” is vital to every community.  Clean Water advocates for legislation and to elect public servants focused on the goals of “Safe Drinking Water, Clean Energy & Climate Justice, Zero Waste, and Healthy Homes, Workplaces, and Communities.”

Clean Water Action joins the Sierra Club and 350 Mass Action in supporting Margareth Shepard, the only three statewide environmental organizations that have endorsed in this legislative race.
