FRAMINGHAM – One of the Framingham Public School District’s vice principal is leaving.
Potter Road Elementary School Vice Principal Michelle da Costa announced today, July 20, to families she will not be there at the start of the 2022-23 school year.
“It has has been my honor to serve as your Assistant Principal for the past four years. From the outset, you made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I’ve enjoyed working with your amazing children as they grow and learn.At this time, after 29 years of living and working in Framingham, I’ve decided to relocate and move on to other opportunities.Thank you all for your kindness and support, especially during the challenging times of the Pandemic. I will certainly miss you all. Enjoy the rest of your summer,” she wrote today.
“Michelle was an integral part of the Potter Road community, working tirelessly to support all stakeholders,” said Principal Larry Wolpe.
“She was a champion of all students and families. She supported staff in countless ways over the past four years at Potter, particularly during the heart of the pandemic. We appreciate all she’s done and wish her the best in the future,” said Principal Wolpe.

Prior to coming to Potter Road, she was the vice principal at Harmony Grove Elementary.
“Please know I’m working closely with central office administration and human resources to work on a succession plan for Mrs. DaCosta’s departure. We wish Michelle nothing but the best as she moves on to this next phase of her professional career and thank her for her incredible service to Potter Road,” wrote Principal Wolpe.
