UPDATED: 3 Framingham Juveniles in Custody After 2 Vehicles Stolen and 1 SUV Crash in Ashland

ASHLAND – Police arrested three Framingham juveniles after two vehicles were stolen, and one vehicle struck a pole on East Union Street in Ashland.

Two juveniles were arrested at gun point and one under the threat of a K-9 dog from the City of Marlborough, said the Ashland Police Chief.

The charges have not been finalized yet, said the Ashland Police Chief Vince Alfano.

All three male juveniles are known to police, said Chief Alfano.

“All three Framingham juveniles put the public in danger,” said the Ashland Police Chief. “There behavior was reckless and was dangerous. It was clear they have no regard for the community and the safety of others.”

Around 12:52 p.m., Ashland Police received a call from a Framingham resident who said they were following a vehicle they reported stolen from Fay Road, explained Ashland Police Chief Vince Alfano.

The Chief said the person did not know where they were but saw their white Honda Pilot. The dispatchers were able to undercover they were near Ashland High School, said the Chief.

Vehicles were dispatched to the area, and found the 2019 white Honda Pilot crashed into a pole on east Union Street near Cedar Street.

“The juvenile operated had lost control of the vehicle,” said the Chief.

After crashing the stolen vehicle, the male juvenile then jumped into another vehicle, which was later determined to be stolen also, with two other juveniles in that vehicle, explained the Ashland Police Chief.

The police were able to locate the second vehicle, which also was stolen, and found it near a wooden area, explained the Chief.

Two of the juveniles were captured at gunpoint, said the Ashland Chief.

Another resident on Shore Road called and said there was a person hiding in their yard in a swamp area.

We surrounded the area, and asked the juvenile to surrender. He refused. The swamp area is about 3-feet deep and very heavily vegetated, described the police chief.

We requested a K-9 from the City of Marlborough. When the K-9 unit arrived we asked the juvenile to come out and he finally did surrender, said the Chief.

Fay Road in Framingham starts at Route 135 and then turns into Higley Road when it becomes Ashland. Fay Road is located in District 8 in the southwest end of the City of Framingham.
