FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Traffic Commission approved a stop sign for Genardy Way at Livoli Road at its May 16 meeting.
Currently, traffic is being redirected off of Edmands Road through the residential neighborhood onto Edgell Road, said the City of Framingham Director of Transportation Engineering Simon Alexandrovich.
“In the future, it will also be used as the detour for [the] Nobscot intersection” construction project, said the DPW employee.
Drivers turning off of Edmands Road onto Genardy Way must now stop before they proceed onto the detour, which eventually ends at Edgell Road.
Framingham Police Lt. Harry Wareham, who is the police representative on the Commission, said the detour has had minimal impact on traffic through the neighborhood.
