FRAMINGHAM – A medical helicopter was needed motorcycle crash on Route 9 Sunday night, May 1.

The vehicle vs motorcycle crash happened around 9 p.m. near 1220 Worcester Road.

Framingham Police as well as Framingham Fire Tower 1, Ambulance 2 & Ambulance 4 responded, evaluated and treated the male motorcycle driver, said the Framingham Fire Chief.

The male driver of the motorcycle, 28, “suffered serious injuries to the leg and upper body (shoulder) injuries,” said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

The Marlborough resident was transported to Mass State Police and then flown to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“It appears the motorcyclist attempted to pass a vehicle that was making a right hand turn leading to the collision,” said Lt. Mickens. “The accident is still under investigation.”
