Last night the former City of Framingham Mayor, School Committee Chair Priscila Sousa & others were part of a library panel discussion on Zoom to discuss the 2014film She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry. The film is about the birth of the modern women’s liberation movement in the late 1960s through to its contemporary manifestations. It is directed by Mary Dore
2. Mayor Charlie Sisitsky will attend the joint meeting of the City Council and the School Committee tonight at 7 in the Blumer room of the Memorial Building to discuss the City’s finances. All are welcome to attend.

4. The Framingham Public Schools is celebrating Youth in Art month with an exhibit at the main Framingham Public Library on Lexington Street. The art is on display in the lobby and in the Costin room of the main library through tomorrow, March 30. The featured art in today’s column is from the exhibit.
5. The Linda Vaden-Goad Authors and Artists Series continues today with Audrey Kali & Rachel Trousdale at 4:30 p.m. on the campus of Framingham State University at Heineman Ecumenical Center
Kali’s new film Farm and Red Moon documents her quest to explore the ambiguous moral underbelly of farm animal slaughter practices.
Trousdale’s new book, Humor, Empathy, and Community in Twentieth-Century American Poetry, argues that poets like T. S. Eliot, Marianne Moore, and Cathy Park Hong use humor to examine how well people can understand each other across difference.
