FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Acting Fire Chief Michael Dutcher has secured 1,600 N95 masks for his department and the Framingham Police Department.
Chief Dutcher made a regional purchase with other municipalities including Sherborn, Natick, and Hopkinton.
By making a large purchase, it was able to drive the cost down, Dutcher told members of the City Council’s new Public Health & Safety subcommittee Wednesday night.

“Dutcher came through today, with 800 N95 masks,” said Framingham Police Chief Steven Trask to the Council subcommittee last night.
The Framingham Police Department has 3 police officers who have tested positive for COVID-19, and has 10 officersin quarantine.
No one in the Framingham Fire Department has tested positive for the coronavirus, said Dutcher last night. He said he has one firefighter in a self-quarantine due to a family member’s exposure, not work related.
