FRAMINGHAM – Irene D. (Ottaviani) Quinn, age 91, a lifelong resident of Framingham, passed away, Monday, December 27, 2021.
She was the wife of the late Robert H. Quinn who died in 1996.
Born in Framingham on June 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Delcisa “Della” (Cortesi) Ottaviani.
She graduated from Framingham High School and after graduation worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at her father’s restaurant, the Union House for many years.
She was also a secretary for Construction and General Laborers’ Local Union #609 and a member for over 60 years.
She enjoyed working and after retiring, she would always say, “I wish I was still working”.
One of her greatest passions was her volunteer work at Carlyle House in Framingham where she helped with bingo games.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Cynthia A. Quinn, and Robert P. Quinn. She always put her children first. She was a caring and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of Philip R. Ottaviani and sister-in-law to the late Marilyn G. Ottaviani and, Jay and Virginia Quinn.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Norton Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 9 a.n. her funeral Mass will follow at St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverley Street in Framingham at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4-7PM.
