FRAMINGHAM – An assistant conductor on a Framingham/Worcester commuter rail train is suing Keolis Commuter Services Inc. for $440,000.
Quincy resident Allen Chin, in his lawsuit, claimed malfunctioning door amputated a portion of his right ring finger in 2019.
The incident happened on December 4, 2019, while the train was stopped at the Framingham commuter rail station, according to the lawsuit.

Keolis did not maintain the defective door, states the lawsuit.
The Quincy man, according to the lawsuit has not been able to work and is “incapacitated.”
Chin is seeking $220,000, split between $60,000 in medical expenses and $160,000 in current and future wage losses.
Keolis is contracted by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to run the commuter rail system.
