FRAMINGHAM – Todd Joseph Carmel, a resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, on a spectacular autumn day after a grueling battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 55 years old.

Todd was born in Vallejo, California on November 16^th, 1965, the youngest son of the late Leon J Carmel and Linda Ann-Marie (Boucher) Carmel.

Todd lived much of his life in Natick and Framingham, MA and graduated from Natick High School in 1984. He then went on to study environmental sciences at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA where he graduated in 1992.

Throughout his life he exhibited relentless optimism and he served his community in many ways: as an emergency medical technician, an environmental laboratory technician, a secondary school teacher, and as an information technology professional at several Massachusetts hospitals. He also served as a primary caregiver to his mother, Linda.

He was predeceased by both his parents. He is survived by two brothers; Chris and his wife Sandy of Framingham, MA; and Mark and his wife Amy of Springfield, VA; one niece, Margaret Carmel of Boise, ID; and one nephew, Eric Carmel of Chesapeake, VA; and 12 cousins. Todd enjoyed the company of a close-knit set of friends who devoted their time to science fiction, movies, and charity.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate and reminisce about Todd’s life during a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham, on Sunday October 17 from 2 – 5 p.m.

Todd will be interred privately at Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick later this year.
