FRAMINGHAM – Kenneth C. Nelson, of Framingham, passed away on October 1, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and three children. 

Beloved husband of Carol A. (Grillo) Nelson. Devoted father of Kevin Nelson and his wife Cheryl of Framingham, Kristi Salisbury and her husband Rick of Framingham, and Kerri LaPlaca and her husband Matt of Franklin. Dear brother of Larry Nelson of IA and Rodney Nelson of MN. Loving grandfather of Nicole and Taylor Cloonan, Kylie and Kacie Salisbury, and Evelyn and Vivian LaPlaca.  Great grandfather of Noelani LeBlanc.  Predeceased by his parents Rudy and Evelyn Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD.

Ken grew up in Valley Springs, South Dakota, and was drafted into the Army after graduating from South Dakota State University where he earned his BSEE. 

Later, Ken earned his MBA from Babson College. 

While stationed at Natick Labs he met his wife Carol and remained in Framingham to raise his family. 

Ken was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed football.  He loved spending time at Sagamore Beach in Cape Cod.  More than anything, he cherished spending time with his family and took great pride in caring for his grandchildren.  

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St, Natick Common, Saturday, October 9 at 9 a.m.

Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 44 East Central Street in Natick at 10 a.m.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. 

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. 

Visiting hours Friday, October 8th from 4 -7 p.m.
