Man Arrested After Tinder Date Held on $5,000 Bail and Ordered To Wear GPS Monitoring Device

FRAMINGHAM – An Andover man arrested in Framingham after a Tinder date was arraigned on Monday and back in court today, September 28.

On Sunday night, Framingham Police arrested David Kessler, 25, of 6 Cindy Lane of Andover. 

Prior to his arrest, the Mass State Police Bomb Squad was called to a Framingham neighborhood, a dozen Framingham homes were evacuated, and 4 guns seized.

Kessler, 25, was arraigned yesterday (September 27) on the charges of two counts of possession of a firearm without a license, eight counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device, four counts of carrying a loaded firearm and improper storage of a firearm, according to Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

Today, September 28, at a 58A hearing, Judge Matthew McGrath found the defendant dangerous and ordered him to be held on $5,000 cash bail, according to a spokesperson from the Middlesex County DA’s office.

The judge gave several conditions including that Kessler “wear a GPS monitoring device with a curfew from 6 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with permit to work, have no recreational use of the Internet, stay away and have no contact with the witness, have no alcohol or drugs, have no possession of any dangerous weapons, firearms or explosive devices, and check in daily with the probation department,” said the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office spokesperson.

He will be back in court on October 22.

Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker told the news outlet he could not release details at this time on Monday, as it was an ongoing investigation. The only information provided by Framingham Police was the public log entry.
